If you know Vancouver’s North Shore you will recognize the image on this session ale’s label to be none other than quarry rock in Deep Cove. This Session Ale comes in at 4.8% alcohol and is golden straw in colour. With one finger’s worth of head settling atop the beer a light aroma of citrus and  mildly sweet malt tones come through in a very light and easy to handle manner. The flavour screams sessionability with a light body and mellow hop tones of citrus and apple. The malt character builds as the flavour progresses giving a light sweetness to the flavour. This fades as the flavour comes to a close though leaving a mildly bitter and quite dry finish. This is a light and easy drinking beer designed for the hot days of summer. This beer would be perfect for an afternoon spent overlooking Deep Cove and onward to Burnaby atop Deep Cove’s Quarry Rock.
