The Mission Springs Brewing Company in Mission, BC brought out a malty Vienna lager as an alternative to their current Pilsner and Lager lineup. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a reddish copper colour with two fingers of beige head with some lacing left on the glass. Aromas of biscuit and toasted malts are most prominent, accompanied by a slightly fruity note.  In the mouth the taste is malty up front with bready and toasted malt character.  Some caramel sweetness is present and a surprisingly bitter middle that dissipates quickly, leaving a dry, crisp finish in the mouth. A solid take on the Vienna Lager style, City of Dreams is worth trying when you’re out in the Fraser Valley or if you can pick it up at your local bottle shop.
