Red Truck Beer Co Golden Ale BottleRed Truck Beer Co. – Golden Ale Review

Red Truck Brewing Company’s summer seasonal offering is the Red Truck Golden Ale.  The beer pours from the 355mL bottle a cloudy, golden yellow with two fingers of white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing.  Citrus aromas emanate from the glass, accompanied by a subtle yeastiness, as well as apple and herbal tones.  The flavour is of lemon and grain up front, followed by pear, citrus, and a hint of spice.  Some mild bitterness presents itself and then disappears, leaving the mouth dry.  The body is light yet wheaty, and effervescence remains, popping on the tongue, in spite of the quickly dissipating foam.  Overall the beer presents the flavours of a summer hefeweizen though labelled as a golden ale; unexpected but refreshing nonetheless.
