Granville Island Brewing brings back its Two Tides India Session Ale
Granville Island Brewing releases its Two Tides India Session Ale to coincide with National Beer Day
Granville Island Brewing is bringing back their Two Tides ISA just in time to show their appreciation for National Beer Day on April 7th, 2016.
Celebrated by beer enthusiasts in the USA and elsewhere, National Beer Day commemorates the day in 1933 when Americans were legally able buy beer after 13 years of Prohibition. President Roosevelt famously remarked “I think this would be a good time for a beer.”
GIB first released their India Session Ale in 2015 as a seasonal offering, but starting this year Two Tides ISA will be available year-round.
“We are going for a beer that is approachable and very drinkable,” says Mike Sharpham, Beer Merchant for GIB. “Our Two Tides ISA is light and not overly hoppy, while still getting great flavours and aromas from the hops without the bitterness and alcohol.”
From High Tide to Low Tide, and everything in between. “Our ISA is a lighter way to an IPA,” says Sharpham. GIB has created a flavourful yet quaffable beer in the Two Tides ISA.
The recipe hasn’t changed, and Two Tides still provides a floral and fruity hop aroma with a lighter, sessional body, lower alcohol, and lacking in the high bitterness characteristic of the IPA style.
Perfect for your next BBQ or camping trip, pick it up in a six pack of cans or bottles – or grab one of the newly branded GIB mixer packs to try out the Two Tides ISA along with other Granville Island summer favourites. The ISA is also available at the brewery on tap and growler fills.
Edit – Monday April 4th, 2016: This post originally stated that Granville Island Brewing will release the Two Tides ISA on April 7th, 2016. It was corrected to reflect that Two Tides has already been released and GIB will be appreciating National Beer Day with their ISA on this date.
