Bridge Brewing Lemon Gin Saison Review Bridge Brewing Co. – Lemon Gin Saison Review

The Bridge Brewing Company has twisted the Saison Style and brewed with lemon and Juniper to create what they call the Lemon Gin Saison. This beer uses French Saison yeast and pours a colour of cloudy yellow-straw. Topped with two fingers of head that settles rather quickly, an aroma of wheat, citrus and a juniper-pine tone come through in a mellow way on the nose. Tasting the beer it too is rather mellow. The juniper tones build with each sip and the lemon-citrus notes add a touch of acidity to the mix. As the flavour comes to a close the juniper melds with the wheat and light hop tones to be reasonably dry and clean. Also a peppery spice kicks things up as the flavour comes to a close. The ‘Gin” notes in this beer are rather light and subdued but it is a pleasant and mellow alteration of a traditional saison.
