Surrey, BC – Central City Brewers + Distillers is carving fresh tracks as the proud, exclusive cider sponsor of the World Ski & Snowboard Festival (WSSF) in Whistler, B.C. The multi-year partnership will include presence at events and on-site activations with Central City’s Hopping Mad Cider.

“The WSSF has grown into an internationally renowned, premiere winter sports and music event and it presents a unique opportunity for Central City to shred some fresh ‘pow’ with sports and beer enthusiasts alike,” says Tim Barnes, Central City’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We’re stoked to be part of this year’s festivities and look forward to getting some big air time with our Hopping Mad Cider.”

Taking place April 8 – 17, 2016 in Whistler, B.C., the WSSF is the largest annual winter sports and music festival in North America. The 10-day-night festival hosts a high-energy combination of world class ski and snowboard competitions, the largest annual free outdoor concert series in Canada, visual arts mega-productions, film premieres, community events and an endless lineup of parties.

“We’re excited to have Central City Brewers + Distillers onboard as our official cider sponsor,” says Sue Eckersly, Executive Director of the World Ski & Snowboard Festival. “They are one of B.C.’s premiere breweries and their award-winning products have been enjoyed across North America. It’s great to be partnered with a leading brand and look forward to working with them in the coming years.”

Central City’s Hopping Mad Dry Hopped Apple Cider (6.5% ABV) is a dry, sweet cider blending Yakima Valley hops and cold fermented from scratch, using fresh pressed apples from the Pacific Northwest, and a special yeast. The dry hopping process adds a nice hop aroma onto the dry, sweet cider, complementing the cider’s natural tart flavour.
