Howe Sound Mexican Chiapas Coffee Ale ReviewHowe Sound Brewing Co. – Mexican Chiapas Cold Pressed Coffee Ale Review

Howe Sound Brewing has turned up the caffeine with their Mexican Chiapas Cold Pressed Coffee Ale. From the 1L bottle this beer pours as a caramel colour that is overall quite dark but light for your typical coffee beer. A thin finger of head tops this brew that has a strong aroma of lightly bittered coffee. The coffee tones are quite strong and don’t leave much room for other notes to come through. The Mexican Chiapas has a light and crisp body with bold, slightly bitter coffee notes. This beer is all coffee with a slight sweetness to it. The bitterness lingers with the coffee notes in a very dry finish. This is coffee through and through and if that is your cup of tea (or coffee) then this may just be the beer for you!
