Victoria Beer WeekVictoria Beer Week Returns with Exciting Roster of Events

Victoria Beer Week returns for its third year in 2016 with an expanded roster of events beginning on Friday, March 4, and running straight through until Saturday, March 12.

#VBW2016 will bring back some of the most popular events from 2014 and 2015 along with some exciting new options. This year, VBW kicks off with not just one but two Cask Nights at the Victoria Public Market, running consecutively on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5. These Cask Nights are VBW’s signature events, each showcasing at least 25 unique cask-conditioned beers from breweries throughout British Columbia.

One of the festival’s most successful new events in 2015 was Thunderdome where B.C. breweries launched 10 brand new beers. In 2016, this event becomes VBW’s marquee event called Lift Off!, held outdoors at historic Market Square, and featuring at least 10 brand new beers sampled by up to 1,000 people over the course of a Saturday afternoon.

Other great events returning include: Beer, Cheese, More Beer; Pucker Up; Drink in the Story; Beer School; the Definitive Victoria Brewery Crawl; New Brew Cruise; Pedalin’ for Pints; and Beer, Pizza, More Beer. We have added a special fish and seafood-focused event called Fishing For Beer, as well as a beer cocktail event called Dubbel or Nuthin’, the Ultimate Beer Quiz, and Beer-B-Q.

Numerous other events such as tap takeovers and cask tappings will take place at various Victoria venues throughout the week. Please see the website for the complete schedule.

All tickets are sold online through EventBrite: vicbeerweek.eventbrite.ca
