Phillips Brewing Sky High Grand Fir Ale – 5% – 650mL
January 5th, 2015 – Branching out from the usual with our newest seasonal release! Sky High Grand Fir Ale is brewed with freshly harvested grand fir boughs which are added directly into the kettle. It is a pine ale that avoids the overtly resinous in favour of a brighter, more nuanced character featuring citrus and evergreen.
Pours a light straw colour with a full frothy white head. Soft aromas of sweet fir leads to a bright pine flavour profile accented with notes of citrus and rosewater. Finishes with a subtle lingering bitterness.
