Powell Street Brewery Enigma Stout Review Powell Street Brewery – Enigma Stout Review

From Powell Street Craft Brewery comes a Stout that pushes the edges of the style at 6.0% and 55 IBUS. Available in bomber bottles this beer pours as a deep and nearly black colour with one thin fingersof brown head. The aroma is rich with coffee notes, chocolate and toffee with a smooth and slightly alcohol-infused aroma. The body is big and the carbonation is bigger than the thin head forecast. The coffee notes stand out up front while chocolate and a light burnt-toffee flavour that adds an extra element to the picture. This beer is a hybrid in style and flavour between a traditional stout and a big, imperial stout. If you are looking for big flavour without the alcohol and intensity of a much bigger beer, this is the choice for you!
