Central city has spiced things up with their Habanero  Imperial Stout. This chili infused beer comes in at 8.5% and is sold in 650ml bottles. Pouring into a glass the Habanero Stout appears as a deep and dark black colour topped with three fingers of dark brown, lacing head. An aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a light chili spice comes in on the nose. The aroma is rather lacking in the Habanero department. Tasting the beer it is imperial stout first but has a light chili-spice that grows as your glass dwindles. A deep and big body is joined with rich coffee and chocolate notes while the chili cuts the sweetness and masks the alcohol content. For those with an affinity towards spice this won’t have you gasping for breath from the spice but it does a great job at balancing the intensity of beer with a contrasting chili spice.

Alcohol – 8.5%
Size – 650ml bottle
