Canoe Brewpub – Pale Ale ReviewCanoe Brewpub Pale Ale Review

Formerly known as the Siren Song Pale Ale The Canoe Brewery’s Pale Ale is crafted at the Victoria based brewpub. Bot tles are only available from the brewery and if you can get one you will see a golden amber colour when you pour the beer into a glass. This Pale Ale shows one finger of head which leaves light lacing on the glass. An aroma of balance malt and hop is characteristic of a BC Pale Ale with nice pine notes, citrus tones, slight sweetness and a very sessionable nose. Tasting the beer a flavour of citrus hops takes charge while a malty base is slightly subdued behind the hop front. Citrus and light tropical fruit tones make up the majority of the Canoe Pale Ale which leads up to a finish of hop bitterness and the remnants of the citrus tones. The Canoe Pale Ale is a BC-style Pale Ale to the tee with delicious west-coast hop tones that slightly overpower the malty base.
