Postmark Brewing IPA Mark 2 Review Postmark Brewing – India Pale Ale – Mark 2 Review

Postmark Brewing first released their beer that was cleverly called the “IPA” with the words citrus, balanced and bitter associated with it. Round two of the beer has changed in look with a new label design and the new words being tropical, lemon and balanced. They both appear to be balanced but other than that the beer has changed. From the bottle this beer pours as a relatively light, amber colour and is topped with four fingers of erupting head. The aroma is as big as the head with a big and tropical hop bitterness. The label is accurate with its tropical, lemon and balance call-outs making for a big and hop-forward aroma. In the flavour the Postmark IPA is a well hopped IPA but doesn’t have quite the bitterness of other IPAs with a similar, strong hop flavour. At 50 IBUs the intensity is there but the bitterness does not take over. This leaves room for the tropical and citrus hop tones to come through along with a subtle maltiness to balance the package.
