In the line of tall-boy cans from Victoria’s Phillips Brewing Company comes the Short Wave West Coast Pale Ale. Sold in single 473ml cans this is the perfect size for a refreshment after a summer’s hike or a day of lounging on the beach. From the can this beer pours as a clear amber colour topped with three full fingers of lightly lacing head. The Short Wave has a strong citrus nose with a kick of pine along with a lightly sweet maltiness. The body is light and easy drinking and when it hits the tongue a kick of citrus starts off the flavour. Citrus tones and a refreshing hop is followed by a maltiness that is both smooth and lightly sweet. The finish has a slight hop flavour that lingers but is rather dry and neutral for a Pale Ale. The Short Wave is an extremely sessionable, very enjoyable Pale Ale that is both true to the Northwest style and a very refreshing take on Summer Beers.

Alcohol – 5.2%
