Persephone Brewing India Summer Ale Review Persephone Brewing Co. – India Summer Ale Review

In the swing of summer Persephone Brewing Company has released an India Summer Ale. At 5.5% this ISA is stronger that typical for the style but will surely be a refreshing  taste of the Summer ahead. From the bomber bottle this beer pours as a very slightly clouded, golden colour with two fingers of lightly lacing head. From the beer’s crest comes a refreshing citrus scent with notes of pineapple, Passionfruit and mango. This fruit-forward smelling beer has a wonderful hop aroma to it. The body is light but slightly creamy which is not typical for and ISA. The fruit tones come out strong right off the bat with pineapple and Passionfruit hitting the palate. Yellow Grapefruit also comes to mind as a relatively strong hop bitterness grows at the back of the tongue. While the Persephone India Summer Ale is teetering on the edge of being an IPA that does not change the fact that this is a delicious, sessionable and very enjoyable summer beer.
