The Sunsetter is a new summer beer from the Stanley Park Brewing Company. To commemorate the launch of this new Peach flavoured Summer Ale the brewery team took to English Bay to take in the Vancouver sunshine. At the edge of Stanley Park above English Bay a launch event took place which would be difficult to top when it comes to location or experience.
Looking out over Vancouver Harbour at the setting sun, English Bay was the perfect setting for the launch of a new Summer Session Ale. In the evening heat and the amber glow of a low sun Stanley Park pulled out their best to provide food, entertainment and of course the beer to match.
Making a splash was clearly the focus here with dancers, sand sculptors and live entertainment wowing the guests while food options included popcorn and Churros all the way to summer sliders, tacos and noodle boxes. All that really mattered here was that the food went well with the new, fruit forward beer.
In addition to serving the Sunsetter and a few of the well known Stanley Park staples, beer cocktails were on the menu. A Sunsetter-vodka-lemonade concoction wowed the taste buds of those on the curious side with an even more refreshing nature than the beer itself.
Stanley Park Brewery is known for its sessionable, approachable and non-offensive styles. The Sunsetter is a great addition to this mentality with its easy drinking, low-alcohol, low-bitterness attributes but still kicks things into the interesting with a peach infusion and Citra hop profile. Somewhere in British Columbia there is a patio and a Stanley Park Sunsetter with your name on it – you better find it before someone else does!
