Steamworks Kölsch Joins The Tall Boy Family
Steamworks Brewing Co. has just released it’s award winning third edition to the 500 mL can family! The Kölsch will be joining its fellow comrades, Steamworks Pilsner and Steamworks Pale Ale, on liquor store shelves.
Kölsch was awarded a Gold in the category of “Hybrid” beer at the 2014 BC Beer awards. It also recently received a Silver in the “Kölsch” category at this years Canadian Brewing Awards.
Kölsch originates in Cologne (Köln) , a great beer-drinking city in Germany. Kölsch-Style Ale is fermented like an ale but matured like a lager, it goes down very easy, dry with a low but balanced bitterness and a light to medium body with a very delicate flavour. A truly great tasting session ale. Light enough that you can keep sipping away at it , but with enough depth that you will appreciate the different flavours and malts that contribute to this delectable beer.
This sleek new tall boy is available at government and private liquor stores, as well as various lisenced venues throughout B.C.
