Main Street Brewing Pilsner Main Street Brewing Co. – Rue Principale Pilsner Review

The first beer that the Main Street Brewing Company released was the Rue Principale Pilsner which was first contract brewed long before the brewery even existed. Now that it is brewed on-site the beer has changed labels but sticks to the original philosophy of being a traditional and sessionable Pilsner. From the bomber bottle this beer pours as a light golden colour topped with one finger of relatively quickly settling head. This Pilsner smells light and malty with a citrus kick. The aroma from the Rue Principale insinuates a light and very sessionable beer. The flavour too is light and sessionable just like a traditional Pilsner should be. The Rue Pilsner has a light hop to balance the malt flavour but overall goes down smooth and fast.
