Moody Ales, Yellow Dog and Red Truck Beer Join Forces To Quench Ribfest Attendees’ Thirst
Free Family Friendly Event to Hit the Port Moody Shores
The Rotary Club of Port Moody in partnership with the City of Port Moody is host to the inaugural Port Moody RibFest presented by Thrifty Foods. At this community fundraising event designed for families, net proceeds from the event will be distributed back into the community through donations.
The Port Moody RibFest is expected to attract over 30,000 people to Port Moody’s Rocky Point Park from July 10-12 and will run from 11:00AM to 9:00PM daily. Entrance to this charitable and family themed event is free and will serve up live music, kids’ activities, local craft brews and of course – ribs.
Port Moody is the City of Arts, and at RibFest the ‘art’ of mouth-watering BBQ will be displayed in world-class fashion. Several award-winning “Ribbers” from across North America will be offering up their ribs and other tasty BBQ creations to all those that attend. Also, Rocky Point Park’s Main Stage sponsored by TD Bank will see nearly 20 bands play Port Moody Ribfest and musical tastes will be satisfied with over 20 hours of live music that will take place over the event’s 3 days providing a beat for all.
In addition to good ‘ol BBQ and live music, RibFest guests will be able to fill up on Corn on the Cob, as well as enjoy the tastes of other local food vendors within Rocky Point Park. Furthermore, several craft breweries will be pouring some of the finest craft beers around from two designated beverage areas, one of which is family friendly. Port Moody’s very own Yellow Dog Brewing and Moody Ales will be there to quench your thirst and B.C.’s successful Red Truck Beer Company will keep the fun flowing.
The event will also feature a Kids Fun Zone area and is tentatively scheduled to include activities such as the Whitecaps FC Soccer Kick-off brought to you by BMO, a Kids Art Center, a Climbing Wall Station, Buskers, a Photo Booth, Henna Tattoos & Face Painting, other Game Competitions and Local Police Car & Fire Truck Displays.
“We are excited to bring a new and exciting event like this to Port Moody for the people of this region, and we are thrilled with the tremendous corporate support we have received to date to help us stage this fundraiser”, states Rotarian and Ribfest Co-Chair Al Stjernegaard. “We invite everyone from across the Metro Vancouver area who love BBQ, live music and most of all fun to join us in July at the beautiful Rocky Point Park for an event like no other”, added Al.
