Tree Brewing Monkey Pod Rue Ale Review Tree Brewing Co. – Monkey Pod Rye Ale Review

In Tree Brewing Company’s new line of 355ml bottles comes the Monkey Pod Rye Ale. In the RAW series this Rye Ale ours into the glass as an amber-golden colour topped with one finger of lightly lacing head. The beer is slightly cloudy as it is unfiltered and gives off a citrus aroma of hop, grass and a solid malt flavour. The Rye spice also comes through giving a touch more body to the beers smell. The Monkey Pod is mid bodied and is more malt-forward than you may expect. With all the big Rye-IPAs out there it is refreshing to taste a rye ale with a bit more to it than hop. A light rye spice is paired with a malt forward body and still a relatively hoppy back. Citrus tones come through strong from the hops in a refreshing and tasty Rye Ale. Give it a try, it is quite nice!
