Main Street Brewing Southern Hop IPA Review Main Street Brewing Co. – Southern Hop Single Hopped IPA Review

The Main Street Brewing Company has brewed a new IPA using the Australian Ella Hop. This single hop IPA is a Vancovuer brewed beer that is surely going to turn things upside-down. From the Kangaroo-labelled bottle this beer pours a golden colour topped with a finger and a half of lightly lacing head. The beer smells crisp and light with citrusy hops and a distinct pine aroma. Also coming from this single hopped IPA is a distinct grapefruit bitter-sweetness that is rather intriguing. The flavour is light and sessionable with big citrus flavours which grow quickly. The grapefruit nose appears strongly in the flavour with a bitterness and light sour tone. A hop-bittered body and citrus flavour make for a delicious and unique beer that highlights the Australian, Ella Hop.
