Green Leaf Brewing Bardell ISA Review Green Leaf Brewing Co. – Bardell India Session Ale Review

As the days get longer the beers get more sessionable and Green Leaf has hopped on board by brewing the Bardell India session Ale. This ISA style beer is a light 4.0% alcohol with a reasonably large 50 IBUs. The Bardell is bottle conditioned showing significant sediment at the bottom of the bottle.  Pouring into the glass this session beer appears a golden colour topped with three fingers of loose, lightly lacing head. From the Bardell ISA comes a strong aroma of citrus, lemon, grapefruit, piney hops and a yeasty-maltiness. The flavour has a distinct yeast-tone to go with the malted base. A citrus hop grows from that first note into a fairly bitter, west-coast piney bitterness. For a light and low ABV session Ale the Bardell has a decent body to it, big flavour and a slightly Belgian twist on a west coast, summer beer.
