If you are visiting Penticton BC there are a few places that are a must to visit. Beyond the three local breweries, the local craft beer hot spot is without contest the Kettle Valley Station Pub. If you were to argue with this fact the Saturday evening following the Okanagan Fest Of Ale in Penticton, B.C. would have to change your mind.
Hosting the Murderer’s Row cask night the Kettle Valley Station Pub welcomed local craft beer enthusiasts along with the majority of craft brewers exhibiting at the event. If you want to experience great craft beer, do as the Romans do – Follow the brewers to where they know they can find amazing craft beer.
At this annual affair, 11 special casks were created by a range of BC top brewers to show the diversity and creativity of craft beer. From a Gin and Tonic ale to a Root Beer Stout the creativity came out for this evening as the brewers in attendance each looked to one-up each other.
In addition to the 11 amazing casks the Kettle Station offered their usual menu of flavours with a menu of pub favourites along with some more decadent and healthier options to boot. The Kettle Valley Station Pub is a staple among locals for craft beer and when the heavyweights come to town it is no surprise that this is where they come. Next time you are in the sunny town of Penticton be sure to swing by for a pint and a bite to eat!
