Dageraad Brewing Co. – 10 Degrees Belgian Quadrupel Review

Dageraad Brewing 10 degrees Belgian Quad ReviewWhen it comes to a Belgian Quadruple there are big things expected. Dageraad, BC’s Belgian brewery has put together a Belgian Quadrupel called the 10 Degrees. This big, 10% beer pours from the bottle as a cloudy amber-brown colour topped with a thick finger’s worth of dense and lacing head. An aroma or caramel, brown sugar, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and toffee. The aroma is not over the top but has a subtle complexity to it. The body is big and thick with a flavour to match. Toffee, dark fruit and a brown sugar sweetness take charge with a boozy-yeast flavour that comes up behind. The hop bittering is also rather intense with a finish comprised of toffee, dark fruit and a defined bitterness. The intense flavour masks the high alcohol content rather well but it is still apparent that this beer could do some damage. The Quadrupel style is not hige in BC but the flavour is, if you like big Belgian beers than this is the ticket.
