Persephone Brewing Co. – Single Hop Galaxy Pale Ale Review

The first beer to come in Persephone Brewing Company’s Single Hop Series is the Galaxy Pale Ale. This beer is brewed with the Australian Galaxy Hop and appears from the gold labeled bottle as a crisp, amber colour topped with two and a half fingers of head. The Galaxy hop shines in the aroma with a strong piney hop, citrus and a passion fruit scent. This beer screams big and tropical hop flavour. The flavour is maltier than you may expect with a light sweetness to it. The galaxy hop brings a piney bitterness to the flavour along with a citrus kick. The passion fruit tones are more settled than in the nose but do come through lightly in the flavour. The Persephone Single Hop Galaxy Pale Ale is a very nice Pale Ale that allows you to really understand the flavours that come through from the unique and ever-popular Galaxy hop.
