The capacity of the Powell Street Brewery has been increased since opening their new, East Vancouver facility and with that greater volume comes more beers. Their Stout has been released in bomber bottles and can be found at craft retailers in greater Vancouver and other areas of BC. This Stout is a near black in colour brew with two and a half fingers of very tightly packed, lacing head.  From this dark liquid comes an aroma of coffee and chocolate. Low sweetness and a defines coffee bitterness makes this beer dark and delicious smelling. The Powell Street Stout has a flavour of espresso, chocolate and a nice hop bitterness. This is a fairly traditional stout with a bit of an additional espresso kick to liven up the flavour.
