In the spitting image of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup comes the Nutty Uncle Peanut Butter Stout. Dead Frog has ventured into the unknown with a nutty twist to a dark and delicious style. Peanut Allergies aside this beer will surely intrigue the minds and palates of BC craft beer enthusiasts across the province. Appearing out of the bottle as a deep, dark and rather thick stout. Two fingers of head tops the glass which is left clinging to the sides leaving thick lacing behind. An aroma of chocolate and peanuts comes through in a creamy and lightly sweetened smell. The peanut butter is not overpowering but adds a big creaminess and a nice nutty tone. In the flavour the Nutty Uncle really shines with peanuts. The first hit is like biting into a peanut butter cup a chocolate sweetness and peanut butter-smooth texture is like no other. Soon after this first impression the chocolate and peanut flavours fade and make way for a malty and reasonably mild flavoured Stout. What you may expect to be way over the top is actually quite nice, enjoyable and a unique twist on Stout flavour.

This beer was good in the cask at the winter launch event but it was even better in the bottle. They did a super job making this beer.

On behalf of uncles across the province, thank you so much for this beer! This is the perfect bottle to have in my hand while I watch my nieces open the drum set, xylophone, and trumpet they’re getting for Christmas.
