Tree Brewing Co. – Knox Mountain Brown Ale Review
The Knox Mountain Brown Ale is a Limited Edition brew from the Tree Brewing Company out of Kelowna BC. This beer appears as a clear copper-brown colour with two-plus fingers of dense and lacing head. The Knox smells of toasted malt, nuts and caramel in a lightly sweet brown ale. The flavour is malt forward with a defined nuttiness. The nut flavour builds into a hop bitterness which masks a caramel sweetness that lingers in the background. A bigger than typical hop for a brown ale gives a rather bitter finish playing to the typical BC beer drinker’s heartstrings. The Knox Brown Ale is a well hopped, nutty brown ale that is perfect as the BC fall settles into winter. While the Knox Mountain Brown Ale was first released in bomber bottles it is now also available in 6-packs of 355ml bottles as part of the RAW series.
