Canuck Empire Brewing Co. – Pumpkin Patch Ale Review

Canuck Empire Brewing Co., out of Aldergrove BC has joined the Pumpkin crowd with their Pumpkin Patch Ale. This Pumpkin Ale comes in at 6.0% and pours from the bottle as an amber coloured ale crested with a finger and a half of fairly quickly settling head. From the Pumpkin Patch Ale comes a crisp pumpkin spice with a big ginger kick. The Ginger joins a cinnamon and nutmeg aroma for a gig spicy nose. The beer’s body leans towards the creamy side with a pumpkin flavour that comes in with the nutmeg and cinnamon tones. As this builds a Ginger spice comes in from behind taking over but not masking the pumpkin flavours. The beer is quite gingery but this is highlighted by the delicious and somewhat subdued fall, pumpkin spice flavour. The Pumpkin Patch Ale is a fall seasonal definitely worth trying and with its strong Ginger tones gives something unique to a fall seasonal flavour.
