Kelowna’s Prohibition Brewing Company has released bottles of their Smuggler Scotch Ale in line with their historically themed line of craft beer. This beer Pours from the painted bottle a copper colour topped with a finger and a half of head. As the head settles relatively slowly light lacing is left on the glass’s sides and an aroma of toasted malt, caramel and brass comes forth. The flavour is dark with a strong metallic flavour and a light caramel sweetness. Hops and a toffee darkness build as the flavour progresses balancing out the metal notes that come into play early on. This beer is relatively dark with some typical Scotch ale characteristics along side a strong and slightly overpowering metallic flavour.
