Persephone Black Lager ReviewPersephone Brewing Co. – Black Lager Review

Persephone Brewing Co. as been working hard at defeloping their brewery and also the beer farm. As a late summer release the Sunshine Coast brewing team has come up with the Persephone Black Lager. This beer pours a very deep brown colour without any signs of sedement. Topping the beer is nearly three fingers of head which settles slowly leaving a moderate amount of la cing on the glass’ sides. From this Black Lager comes notes of cocoa and toasted malt with a touch of coffee tones along side. The beer’s flavour kicks off with a malt forward coffee and chocolate flavour in a light and malty package. As the finish comes around a hop bitterness joins the cocoa bitterness to balance out the flavours and leave a light but bitter, delicious finish. This is a very enjoyable brew with the lightness of a quality lager and the deep coffee and chocolate flavours that come with a Black lager.
