Cannery Brewing Co. – Lakeboat Lager Review

Inspired by the Lake Okanagan Paddlewheeler of the past called the Sicamous, Cannery Brewing Company has been brewing up the Lakeboat Lager in search of satisfying the thirst of a BC summer. This Lager pours a straw colour topped with a finger and a half of loosly packed, quickly settling head. The Lakeboat lager smells light and malt-forward with a classic and lightly creamy, lager aroma just the way a summer, sessionable beer should. The flavour too is light and easy drinking. Malt comes through strong with a mid-level carbonation and a touch of hop making for a balanced and Okanagan Summer inspired beer. Flavour as a whole is not all that big but that leaves room for another Lakeboat Lager to follow. This is a fairly classic lager with a slight BC twist in hops just for fun.
