Triathalager is the official “Challenge” beer, brewed by Penticton’s Cannery Brewing, the beer sponsor for the 2014 race. It is available now in 355ml cans at Penticton and area government and private liquor stores and on tap at select Penticton and area restaurants and pubs.
Paulette Rennie, President of the Penticton Triathlon Society explained, “We ran a special “Challenge” themed contest to name this beer. After reviewing all 269 name submissions, Triathalager was selected as the winning name as suggested by two people, Gordon Hehn and Traci Russell. Along with the honour of naming it, both of their names are referenced on the packaging and they both received a prize package plus two VIP tickets for race day on August 24th.”
Patt Dyck, owner of Cannery Brewing continued, “The Triathalager is crisp, clean, light and refreshing. It is perfect to enjoy after running across the finish line or while cheering on the racers.” Cheers and good luck to all of the triathletes!
