Fernie Brewing Co. Kickstand Honey Kolsch Review

Fernie Brewing Company has in the far eastern reaches of British Columbia brewed up the Kickstand Honey Kolsch. Described as “An easy drinking Kolsch, with a little help from the bees.” this beer has arrived just in time for the Summer heat. Pouring from the bomber bottle the Kickstand pours a golden colour with a finger and a half of lightly lacing head. The aroma here is sweet with honey along side a malty base with light biscuit tones. The flavour is light and easy drinking in a malty and delicious package. The honey sweetness is mild but builds as the flavour progresses leaving the palate in a semi-sweet, semi-dry finish. This is a smooth, lightly sweetened and delicious beer for a hot summer day in British Columbia.
