33 Acres of Sunshine French Blanche Review

33 Acres Brewing Co. – 33 Acres of Sunshine French Blanche Review

33 Acres does sessionable beers well so as summer approaches the 33 Acres of Sunshine is almost a sure thing. This French Blanche pours from the bottle a straw colour topped with a finger and a half of lightly lacing head. From this crisp and clear beer comes a sweetness of Anise with coriander spice, lemon, orange and a malted base. This beer smells of summer with mild spice and a very sessionable nose. The flavour is rather smooth for the lightness of the beer with a defined body that is both light but also has volume. Coriander and citrus are quite apparent while the sweetness of Anise balances the package. This is a light beer but it has some substance to it. Light and sessionable with a backbone the 33 Acres of Sunshine is a bottle that needs to stay close at hand through the BC summer!
