Postmark Brewing Opens in Vancouver’s Historic Railtown Settlement Building
Vancouver’s Railtown is home to the Settlement building where the Belgard Kitchen, Vancouver Urban WInery and the Roaring 20’s Wine Co. have called home since 2011. Joining the ranks of these already strong brands is the Postmark Brewing Company. Taking over the majority of space in this heritage building, Craft Beer is a new focus for this iconic Vancouver space. In development for some time now the brewery will officially open its doors to the public on June 18, 2014.
Opening day will see the taps run three beers deep with a Citra-Dry Hopped Red Ale, a Raspberry Hefeweizen and one mystery brew that you will just have to stop in to learn more about. This initial list of three beers will soon grow to six with the Growler fillers and Settlement lounge each featuring the full lineup. Whether you fancy a growler fill or sitting down to a flight this already established location will suit your fancy. In a somewhat unique situation the Postmark Brewery is already associated with a lounge-like restaraunt on site in the form of the Belgard Kitchen.This in conjunction with the Roaring 20’s Wine Co, Vancouver Urban Winery and the new brewery can serve your craft needs whether that be food, BC wine or of course – BC craft beer.
This open concept brewery is a shift from the norms of BC craft breweries with a focus on experience. Through tours, information sharing and education the team within the Settlement building is focused on building the idea of craft into the lifestyle of local Vancouver residents. Thinking local and thinking fresh is at the core of each and every entity here and has great potential to not only introduce more people to craft but also educate as to why this is the way of the future.
The Postmark Brewery opens its doors on Wednesday June 18th. Swing by for a pint and a growler. Then you might as well make it a routine for the foreseeable future as Postmark will soon be a landmark among the BC craft beer places to be!
Postmark Brewing is located at 55 Dunlevy Ave in Vancouver. This is approximately 2 blocks east of the always popular Alibi Room!
