Black Kettle Pale Ale Review

Black Kettle Brewing Co – Pale Ale

Starting off with Kegs only the Black Kettle Brewing Company has stepped up to the next level bottling their three current offerings. The first up is the Pale Ale. Black Kettle has opted for a simple and classy label that runs consistent across all the beers modified slightly for the specific style. The Pale ale pours an opaque, light amber colour topped with two fingers of head which leaves slight remnants of lacing on the glass’ sides. The aroma is of a traditional and delicious West Coast style Pale Ale. A delicate combination of Pale and Crystal Malts with a lightly piney and floral hop concoction gives great balance to the aroma. Mid-sweeness is at play with light caramel tones adding to the mix. The flavour is heavier on the malt than you may expect given the aroma. Strong malts balance with those northwest hops to make a slightly sweet, malt forward pale ale that still sees some pine and florality from its hop content. this is a sessionable, easy drinking west-coast style Pale Ale.

Availability of this beer may still be on the slight side of things but head over to the brewery in North Vancouver and you can find all the beer you will need!
