Russell White Rabit Hoppy HefeweisenThe brewing team at Russell Brewing Co. followed the white rabbit down the rabbit hole of BC inspired flavours to imagine up a hoppy hefeweizen. This children’s story inspired beer is a unique brew in the Russell Brewmaster Series of ales from Surrey BC’s Russell Brewing Company. Pouring from the bottle the White Rabbit appears a cloudy golden-orange colour topped with two fingers of lacing head. The aroma coming off the White Rabbit is full of citrus with orange and lemon notes along side a wheaty, lightly spiced body. The flavour too is big with orange notes and other citrus infusion. Clove spice builds through the flavour leading up to a pleasantly citrus hop finish. When all is said and done a light bitterness along side a citrus-clove spice leaves the palate begging for more. This hefeweizen is big with summer flavours without being over the top on the fruit, spice and sweetness. The White Rabbit Hoppy Hefeweizen is an easy drinking, well spiced beer for the summer ahead!
