Moon Under Water – Victoria’s Sticke Fusion Stout Review

Victoria’s Sticke is a stout coming out of the Moon Under Water Brewery in Victoria BC. This stout is a deep and dark brown colour that pours into the glass with a little less than two fingers of head. As the tightly packed head settles it leaves a thick layer of lacing coating the glass. Through the settling head comes notes of german malts, vanilla and chocolate making for a unique, chocolatey but also fairly light smelling beer. The flavour starts off with toasted malts and chocolate building into a piney center. Chocolate and vanilla notes balance the equation making for a big flavour stout that is unique using Weizen yeast to give a lighter, more aromatic flavour while still offering a punch of flavour.
