Vancouver Craft Beer Market

Vancouver Craft Beer Market The much anticipated Craft Beer Market, located in the iconic Salt Building close to Vancouver’s Olympic Village is now open. This is the best selection of craft beer to be found in the province of British Columbia. With 140 different beers on tap and 50 that were brewed here at home in British Columbia this is a place where the choosiest of beer connoisseurs can find their picky palate pleased.

Featuring 50 different beers from BC alone the Craft Beer Market clearly has an appetite for local product. Skimming their food menu as well you may also deduce that this is a theme throughout the establishment. Using local products wherever possible the Vancouver Craft Beer Market has pieced togetherVancouver Craft Beer Marketr a menu that features products from close to home with flavours that are inspired from abroad.

The first challenge in heading to Craft is getting a seat. The restaurant is still very young and there are a large number of people excited about its arrival. Wait times have been in up to four hours during the launch weekend for diners to gain the Craft experience. The good news though is that starting November 12th, 2013 you can call ahead and make a reservation for your visit. After making your way into the restaurant and passing the massive glassed-in room of kegs you will be slighted 2013_11_BMBC_VBT-8447with your second task. A list of 140 beers seems like an amazing opportunity but to many it will be a daunting task. When you visit Craft, if you find yourself glazing over staring at this menu you have three choices. 1st, check the feature list of beers, these are rotating taps which are fresh, delicious and won’t be available for long. 2nd, you can order one of the featured flights, this is a sampling of four different beers that were hand picked by the experts at Craft. 3rdly, if you still don’t know what to choose – ask your server. The staff is quite well educated on the list of beers available and can offer some great advise to meet your taste preferences.

Between the fantastic list of beers, local food and great location the Craft Beer Market really is a spot to hit in the growing list of BC craft beer supporting restaurants located in Vancouver. I can tell you that the Fish Tacos and Margarita Pizza are both fantastic and while the lettuce wraps may be difficult to eat, the flavour reward is well worth the effort so plan a trip (via the skytrain if possible) and visit the latest beer-embracing establishment in BC, The Vancouver Craft Beer Market!
