Cooking With Beer – Winter Ale Braised Beef Ribs

Winter Ale Beer Braised Beef RibsDrinking beer is great, but having a cold one while eating a meal cooked with great beer is even better! If you are in the mood for beer and ribs don’t reach for the BBQ sauce and lather up some short-ribs. Instead grab a can of your favorite beer and make that the base for your recipe. The following video is a recipe for making a Winter Ale, beer based beef rib.

The basic ingredients involved to make this Winter Ale Braised Beef Rib are:

1 KG Beef Ribs
1 can/bottle of Winter Ale or alternate dark beer (not too hoppy/low IBU)
1 Onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
Rosemary
Oregano
Fresh Ginger
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Butter

Keep in mind that this is only a guide. Feel free to add your favorite ingredients into the mixture. Other ingredients that you may want to add include Bacon, whiskey, molasses and additional herbs and spices. Don’t be scared to experiment as there are infinite flavour options.
