Howe Sound Brewing – Troller Bay Ale Review

The Troller Bay Ale is a tribute ale to Horseshoe Bay’s original craft brewery The Troller Pub. Howe Sound has brewed up the Troller Bay ale in respect and it pours a beautiful amber-copper colour with two thick fingers of head that disperse leaving a film of lacing on the glass. This amber ale smells of toasted malts, caramel sweetness and a touch of English style hops to balance out the equation. This beer’s taste starts off with toasted malts building into a mid-sweet middle section before a lightly bitter-sweet finish. This beer has flavour but remains drinkable and The Troller Pub’s original Brewmaster from back in 1982, John Mitchell would be proud to have his name adorned on the label of this beer.
