The Tin Whistle Brewing Co. – Kettle Valley Amber Ale Review

The small brewery in Penticton BC has been brewing craft beer for many years and one of their best sellers is the Kettle Valley Amber Ale. This amber coloured beer pours with a finger and a half of lightly lacing head that settles at a moderate speed. Through this head comes notes of honey, caramel, toasted malt and a light hop. A defined sweetness comes through strong forecasting a sweet, creamy and smooth ale. The taste is crisp, smooth and relatively light, starting off with a toasted malt flavour the notes of honey and caramel follow shortly the mid-section is quite sweet with a slight burnt flavour. As the finish approaches an English style hop joins the toasted honey flavour for a bitter-sweet ending. This beer is refreshing and fairly light while maintaining a depth and a relatively strong flavour profile.
