Delta BC Has A Brewery – It Is Time To Visit The Four Winds Brewing Company!

untitled-8527untitled-8530Four Winds Brewery opened in June, 2013 and they are off to a strong start at taking on the bustling BC Craft Beer scene. In an equally growing yet competitive market strolling into their Delta BC brewery the small tasting room is bustling with activity. Strolling in shortly after opening on a Saturday morning the tasting room is empty. After being poured a sample of the Saison and Pale ale a couple enters the room with three empty growlers. moving on to tasting the IPA I move out of the tasting room and wander the brewery while tasting the deliciously hopped IPA. untitled-8514Upon returning to the tasting room the small area is now packed with a line nearly out the door with growlers and Boston Rounds lined up the counter. What started as a slow morning is now a jam-packed morning for this small and very new BC brewery. For the team at Four Winds though, this scenario is fairly typical.

untitled-8517Being situated off River Road in Delta BC it may seem a little out of the way for a beer run but as the only brewery in the area as well as having a fantastic lineup of beers this small craft brewery is on track to achieve great things. Only a month after opening they are busy as can be with fills at the brewery. You may have seen their beer popping up at local craft-forward pubs as well. People are talking and this beer is spreading around BC’s lower mainland.

untitled-8522While things are chugging along at an accelerating pace the next stage of development comes from the bottling line. Looking at 335ml bottles in the rarely seen 4-pack are nearly there. The Saison, Pale Ale and IPA are the first beers that are set to be bottled and become available through select craft retailers. This may still be a couple of months out but the bottling process is underway and the beer is about to become much more readily available.

The Four Winds Brewery may be a little ways out of town and they may seem quite small but ask the locals and they will tell you that there is something in the water in Delta BC. This beer is fantastic and is sure to take home some hardware very soon as they are yet another emerging brewery in the bustling BC Craft Beer Market.
