Prohibition Brewing Co. – Bootlegger Ale Review

The Prohibition Brewing Company has released their Bootlegger ale which is a golden-amber coloured beer with three fingers of fluffy head. Through the relatively thick head comes notes of lightly toasted malt, apple, citrus and a light hop tone for a light but pleasant smell. The flavour is mid-sweet and goes down easy. Citrus notes and a mid-hopped body are paired with a fairly strong carbonation for a refreshing ale. The Bootlegger may seem a little over-carbonated and run-of the mill to some but this is an enjoyable and fairly sessionable beer to come out of Kelowna BC. This is something new and something worth giving a try.

Been meaning to pick up one of these and try it. I hear this brand from Bug Surf in Kelowna is not as bad as the parent company.
