Dead Frog Brewing Co. – Valiant Belgian IPA Review

The Valiant Belgian IPA is an opaque golden beer that pours with a thick finger of head above the cloudy body. This beer smells strongly of wheat notes, citrus, piney hop and a smooth, imperial-like boozyness. As the head settle lacing the glass it looks wonderful. The taste is sharp. The flavour starts off with a slightly oily texture and citrus flavour with the wheat base. This builds into a sharp hopped body and boozyness that is large-and-in-charge. This will knock you off your feet if you are not careful. The strong hopped flavour, high ABV and wheat notes are not exactly graceful but do have an awkward fondness of one another. They blend into an intense and powerful flavour combo that you will love or hate. Personally, the arrangement of flavours is intriguing and quite delicious.

I really enjoyed this brew. If there was not so many good berg coming out daily I would be drinking this quite often.
