Wolf Brewing Co. – Black Tail Dark Malt Porter Review

The Black Tail is a Porter from Nanaimo’s Wolf Brewing Company. This beer pours with two thick fingers of off-white head and smells of chocolate and a thick toasted malt. The taste is dark, heavy and thick. Flavours of chocolate, molasses and a caramel build into a mid-hop bitter finish. As a heavy, dark beer this beer checks all the right boxes in being a tribute to tradition with a uniqueness and individuality that a beer must hold to stand out in a sea of great beer. The Black Tail is a great porter that any true dark beer love can enjoy.
