Coal Harbour Brewing Co. – Hunter’s Moon Roggenweizen Review

The Coal Harbour Brewing Company has a Roggenweizen in their line of premium quality beers and it is called the Hunter’s Moon. Pouring with a finger and a half of fluffy, slowly dispersing head the white top covers and amber coloured beer below. The smell is malty with a citrus-sour tied to it, there is also a toasted-caramel sweetness that comes into play. The Hunter’s Moon has a slightly oily texture with a creamy body. The taste is a touch sour with a solid toasted malt/caramel sweetness to follow. The sugars in this beer are relatively strong but do not overpower the beer. This is a great balance between sweetness, a mild hop-bitterness and a overall pleasing taste. This beer is balanced, drinkable and unique offering something a little different than the ordinary.
