Tree Brewing Co. – Hop Head Double IPA Review

Tree Brewing has made their presence known throughout BC with their Hop Head IPA. This here is that same idea turned up to 11. With nearly 3 fingers of head this copper coloured beer smells strong of piney hop and a creamy imperial boozyness. The flavour is deep and complex starting off with strong hop bitterness and a citrus body. The taste is intense and rather boozy but quite enjoyable. The finish leaves a sharp hop-bitterness on the tongue that is a touch over the top. If you like hops, hops and more hops then this is a beer for you to try!

Alcohol – 8.5%
Size – 650ml
Price – $7.25 (Cold Beer and Wine)

My colleague had this beer and was quite impressed. We weren’t expecting much from Tree Brewing in the way of big craft beer, but I’ll have to give this one a try. It’s alwasy nice to be pleasantly surprised!
