Phillips Brewing Co. – Bottle Rocket India Session Ale Review

The Phillips Bottle Rocket, India Session Ale (ISA) is a rich yellow coloured IPA that pours from the can with three fingers of head. The smell coming through this thick, slowly dispersing cap is of hop bitterness, grapefruit and a mild spice. The flavour starts off light and fresh building into quite a hoppy, floral and citrus finish. The hop/citrus notes balance one another well making for a very drinkable but flavourful ale. As the spring days warm this is a beer to keep in mind for a day in the park, on the beach or at the BBQ. Grab a six pack and enjoy.

Alcohol – 5.0%
Size – 6 x 355ml
Price – 13.35 / 6 pack (Cold Beer and Wine)

Hmm maybe I will have to try this. I hate buying 6 packs though.

I quite enjoyed this one. I’ve always been skeptical of session ales, but I was impressed by the hop flavour they were able to achieve without that fake metallic hop flavour (see Cariboo IPA…)

    A beach beer for sure.
